Project Cooling towers

Bachelor projects/internships - Leuven | Just now

Design a system for keeping our cooling towers clean!

  •  Operation and construction of cooling towers (as a theoretical approach)
  • Preparation of ‘global maintenance instructions’ that can then possibly be tailored to different types of cooling towers
  • Contamination of louvers and possible solution.

More specifically, working out a system we can use to systematically clean the louvers (based on our ultrapure water test). You will work out a practical setup that we can use to reindigate our louvers: design of circulation tank with inlet, outlet and measurement. This way, you cover (theoretically) the cooling tower aspect and also make a practical exercise that is still connected to your theory topic. The intention is to actually build your design for cleaning the louvers (provided it is approved, of course).
